Sheikh Ahmad Kutty, a senior lecturer and Islamic scholar at the Islamic Institute of Toronto, Ontario, Canada, states: “According to the best of my knowledge, such procedures in case of men are undesirable, if not wholly haram. If the hair is abnormally large, we may trim them. But ordinarily, there is no need to do that. For it is normal for men to have hair on check and back. That is considered manly. We are forbidden to imitate women in such matters.”
