The prominent Muslim scholar, Sheikh Muhammad Iqbal Nadvi, Director and Imam of Al-Falah Islamic Center, Oakville, Ontario, Canada , states: “If the whale meat is permissible, then anything attached to the body is considered halal as well. So, the permissibility is the original rule in this case. But as to the issue of acceptance and the feeling of comfort eating it, this is left to people’s sense of taste and customs.”
