zakah calculation

Assalamu alaikum; My husband runs a resturant for a muslim brother, My question now is if the owner of this resturant ownes the equipment, but not the actual building where the resturant is. He makes enough money to pay the bills, and sometimes there isn't enough money to pay the bills.how do you calculate Zakatul Mal on this resturant?. Jazakum Allah Khayran.

Al Salam Alikum I am enrolled in a pension plan where my company matches my dollar contribution every paycheck. The money is then channeled in an investment fund. I want to pay the zakah due on the money which increases every paycheck. My question is how should I calculate the due zakah, is it due on the beginning balance or the ending balance at the end of the year or is their another method I should use? Also, my wife has an investment policy that was transferred into her name from her parents six months ago. It also increases through a fixed monthly contribution. The problem with the policy is that we took some money out of it so the money is less than what it was when she first received it. Also, we might be taking some more money out of the policy. How can we calculate the zakah on the policy at the end of the year taking into account the constant change in the balance? Jazakom Allah Khairan.al Salam Alikum

I have a Zakat question. I need to pay my last year's Zakat if you can kindly answer my question. I have submitted this to many sites, but they do not answer. Wallah Alam.I have assets (stocks) of about $200,000. I also have home mortgage loan of $500,000. Right now I am making monthly payments for my loan, but I am waiting for my stock to appreciate so I can payoff the loan. Do I owe Zakat? Is loan not deducted from assets to calculate Nisab?I am anxiously waiting for your response. Please!

As-salamu `alaykum. I would like to know if a person currently has difficulties in supporting his household and his family, then he decides to sell away his investment (sahm ) which is also very small, does he still need to pay zakah?

I have been an immigrant for many years. I have decided to return back to my home country and settle there. As Jewellery is usually not made of pure gold, so in determining the nisab,the actual weight is considered or the amount of pure gold present in it is considered. Please explain in detail. Dear scholar, As-salamu `alaykum. I know that zakah on money is based on the lunar year. However, can I calculate my zakah according to another calendar? For example, can I pay my zakah on the first of January each year?
