In Everything there is a Divine Wisdom
As-Salamu `alaykum. I often watch films about animal’s world, and there is something that I cannot understand, and it always gives me bad ideas about Allah. I cannot understand why so many animals must die in so painful way when they have to be food for some other animals. It is a horrible scene for one to watch five lions eat one doe, rendering her to suffer a terrible agony of death; it must be very painful for her, and so many other animals undergoing the same traumatic experience. We know that Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said that on killing animals, we must never subject them to pains; the killing must be done with a very sharp knife, in a very quick way, and so on, and that is ok for me. But what happens in animal’s world is an inexplicable cruelty, and then I ask myself why Allah put animals to something like that. Why must animals suffer in that way? How can I understand this? Jazakum Allah khayran.
