salaam, i know that a muslim cannot drink alcohol, however, most restaurants and and takeaways cook alcohol or wine in their food. I heard that when wine is cooked the alcohol disappears and all is left is the flavor, therefore would muslims be able to eat the food?thanks.

As Salaam Alaykum,I am a convert and my business is sales.  To engage clients in the product, my colleagues and I bring our respective clients to product functions where refreshments are served - which includes complementary wine.  Am I allowed to bring my clients to these events?  Does it matter if my clients are Muslims or not?  Secondly, what is the ruling on business lunches at restaurants where colleagues quite possibly will order an alcoholic beverage?

I am a Software Engineer and I am given a task to design a website that deals in  selling the wine I want to ask the fatwa about that.I just want to know that whether doing such a task on behalf of my company is Haram and what should be my way forward to deal with it.This website will show the wine products to its customers and then those customers will buy that wine online and I have been asked to program this site as part of my job.

Assalamu'alaykum.Is that permissible for a Muslim to eat any food cooked with wine? It is said that the wine or alcohol will evaporate as it is heated. So, most of it will be freed into the air as gas molecules. While the alcohol left in the food may has already changed to another type of substance or chemical which has lost the alcohol characteristic. In this case, may the 'istihalah' concept be applied?One more thing, can we consume the spirit vinegar? Unlike other vinegars, it contains smal l amount of alcohol but won't give the drunken or inebriated effect.JazakaLLah.

as-Salamu `alaykum! Some steak or chicken that is served in restaurants is cooked in wine. So, is it haram (unlawful) to eat food that is cooked in wine?

one of the ingredient in making chiffon cake is cream of tartar. Based on information, (1) Cream of Tartar is a natural, pure ingredient left behind after grape juice has fermented to wine, or  (2)Cream of Tartar crystallises in wine casks during the fermentation of grape juice, and can precipitate out of wine in bottle. Is cream of tartar halal ?

Dear scholars, as-Salamu `alaykum. Why does Almighty Allah forbid the believers to drink wine in this world, while He allows them to drink it in the Hereafter? How will He Almighty allow them this in the Hereafter though it is extremely harmful? Jazakum Allah khayran.
