Is tourism in Islamic countries haram (forbidden) or not? Some scholars say it's haram because the Western tourist drinks alcohol and dresses half naked, etc., in the Islamic countries. Others say no, it's not haram. They are guests in our countries, we must respect them and they only do what is normal for them (drinking alcohol, etc.) and we must defend them from terrorism.

as-salaamWhat are the conditions for women working in the Tourism Industry. They come in contact with the opposite sex quite often.They even have to travel abroad for business and related stuff. My sister has a good aptitude about this industry and wants to contribute but is afraid of wor king because she feels she?ll have to transgress her Islamic values. She questions as to how can she contribute to her religion by working in such an environment. Though she's very wary of what she does.She argues that this wont help her ummah in any way!!! Is it? The hospitality and tourism industry is important for any economy.The hospitality industry is not filth free and so she?s afraid she?ll indirectly contribute to it. We?re sending our people to global areas and they have to stay and rest in some place which is not Islamic! But how can we help it? Muslims all over are employed in this sphere.
