Assalamu Alaikum Dear Scholar,I just want to ask about salah. What is the importance of leading the prayer? And can Shia and Sunni pray together? I mean what if Sunni lead the prayer and both the Shia and Sunni follow and vice versa. I do see people they do not pray behind Shia or Shia dont follow Sunni. Why is that matter a lot for them??jazakAllah for your effort

Respected scholars of Islam, as-salamu `alaykum. We all know that there are differences between the Shiites and Sunnis. However, to what extent do they differ in opinion? Can such differences be overlooked? What should they give priority to?

What lessons can we derive from the remembrance of the Day of `Ashura’ and the assassination of Imam Al-Hussein (Prophet Muhammad's grandson)? How can the Muslim Ummah use a review of the attitude of Imam Al-Hussein in an attempt to enjoin the right, forbid the wrong and resist corruption? How can we apply the lessons derived from what happened to Imam Al-Hussein to our contemporary situation, especially with America’s domination on the Arab region?

Dear scholars, as-salamu `alaykum. I see that some Muslims, particularly Shiites, prostrate with their forehead on a stone from Karbala'. What is the real value of offering prayer on the ground of Karbala’? Jazakum Allah khayran.

Respected scholars, as-salamu`alaykum I have a question about the concept of infallibility regarding the Shiite concept of the imam. I am not Shiite, but I live with a brother who is. I have tried to read around this topic in the Qur’an and Hadith but I cannot see where it originated from. I thought the idea of infallibility was something only obtainable by the prophets, so how can they attribute such qualities to an imam?they also believe that the imam is divinely chosen. Where is the evidence for this? Can we reach the level of infallibility? Jazakum Allahu Khayran.
