Is a Commuter Permitted to Shorten salah
As-Salaam alaikum,I'm a student that study in an institution very far from my hometown and once I go to school, I don't return home until at least two months after. When I get to school, observing salaatul qasr becomes a problem because according to a book I once read, Qasr can be observed for as long as one remains on a mission out of his home and as well the lowest duration keeps to three days. What is the prescribed duration for a student like me to keep observing Qasr on getting to school & on getting back home either for a long term holiday or a short term break? Also, what is this prescription for a commuter? What is the mathematical dimension of a sutrah to be used for salaah?
