Punishing a Non-Muslim Fornicator
Salaams. I have a question regarding hadd. I have read that there is no differentiation of punishment whether an unmarried Muslim has fornicated with a Muslim or a non-Muslim. Either way punishment would be flogging not stoning. However, I have read that in certain cases Non-Muslim men who have fornicated with unmarried Muslim women have been treated as adulterers and stoned. I feel it is unfair for the Non-Muslim to have the greater punishment as they have not the same knowledge of Islam, nor have they accepted it. Please can you clarify this?
