My case is, my friend (a muslim) just bought a bearded dragon (a type of lizard pet which is popular nowdays).Another friend of mine also start to dive into this hobby, except he decided to get a children python (again, another famous pet snake).I have heard that reptiles are satan's pet ( or is it just snakes and lizards? please confirm this)Even if reptile's are satan's pet, they shouldn't be killed at sight of seeing them (some of my muslim friend are doing this). I believe this is animal cruelty.Anyway, my main question is reptiles allowed to be kept as pets and is it true that I should kill when I see one?P/s: I have a pet turtle for years now, is that ok? It is well-known that Born Free societies take care of wild beasts and predatory animals, while some other people including Muslims and non-Muslims alike are in the habit of keeping pets such as cats, etc. Could you please furnish me with a through answer on how Islam views caring for pets and keeping them in our houses.

Asalamu 3alaikom, i read your fatwa regarding owning a dog and iunderstand perfectly but to be honest, i've been dreaming about owning a dog for a lot of reasons like protection and help but the main reason is because i really love this animal. is it haram to own them even if i took care of their hygiene? if not, is it Haram too to play with them if i dont own them?
