Is God not fair to persons born non-muslim as compared to persons born muslim? who  seem to me to have more advantages over the other? when you are born from muslim parents, at least you are exposed, guided, nurtured to Islam right from early childhood. Whereas a person born non muslim does not have this - they have to really serch for it!!! I was informed by a scholar not long ago that God is indeed fair - he said that it is not necessary that a person born muslim will a ll  practice teachings of Islam. I am not very convinced with the argument on the basis that at least that muslim born person have been exposed to Islam. Whether he/she follows the religion is another matter. Our friends who were born non muslim do not have that opportunity!!!

As-salamu `alaykum. Jazaka Allahu khayran for all the advice you give to all in need. Now to my question, I was born and brought up in the country I live in. When my parents arrived here, there were only a few other families like us and we became very isolated. I am a very boring person. They didn’t approve of mingling with non-Muslims. I have noticed that my son turns more to other native persons than to me. What can one do to become funnier and more attractive to ones children?

As-salaamu Alaikum.My father committed suicide last month.  As you can imagine, it devastated our family.  I know that suicide is a serious sin in Islam, and I am worried he may be in the Hell-fire forever and/or suffer terrible punishment for making such a choice.  I would like to make du'a for hi m.  Is it halal for me to do so even though he was Christian and he died by suicide?  I'm still learning about du'a, so if I am permitted to do so, how should I make du'a for him?  Must it be said in Arabic?  Can I offer charity for him?  Thank you.

What is the status of the parents of Prophet Muhammad (SAW) in the Hereafter since they all died before IQRAH was revealed?

What are the rights of parents towards married man and a married man's duties towards parents. What if the parents are wrong and are being unfair to the son by cutting off relation with him, his wife and kids..should the son just keep quite becuase he is right or keep doing things as the parents wish eventhough they are wrong.

Dear Scholar, As-Salamu `alaykum. As you are aware, teenagers in Western countries usually leave their parents’ house at about the age of 18. In Islam, must children stay in the parents’ house or can they leave when they desire (assuming they do not have to travel to another place for work or study).

Dear scholars, As-salamu `alaykum. My dad has a store. He gives us money when he fells like it. But once he told us that we can take some money when we need it. So now whenever we go to store we take $5 or $10; would this be considered a sin or stealing on our part if we did so? Jazaka Allahu khayran.

Dear scholars, As-Salamu `alaykum. My parents treat my tw o younger brothers as the key to their success, while they treat me and my four sisters with hatred and disgust. My parents forced 3 of my sisters at 17, 18, and 19 to marry the same year. My older sister and I worked and educated ourselves, while watching my parents spend on our younger brothers. I am barely making it, while my parents spend foolishly on my two brothers and don’t require them to work. Is it fair for my parents to spend thousands of dollars on my brothers to go to school (far away) while they “don’t want to bother with us.” Please help!

Please I would like to know the stance of Islam on the children’s cartoon known as "Pokemon" which has sparked off frenzied controversy, to the extent that it has been banned by the Saudi government. Some people misconstrue the word "Pokemon" as implying polytheism, while others say that it is Latin in origin, referring to certain animals. Please kindly enlighten us on this issue.
