Having non-Muslim friends from the opposite sex
Asalamu Alaykum, noble scholar.I was an atheist from my mid-teens till last year, when I reverted to Islam. My best friend is a Hindu girl, and is responsible to a certain extent for my reversion. Is it permissible to have non-Muslim friends of the opposite gender? I make sure as much as possible that I am never alone with her in private, and thus, not in a situation which will lead to Zina (no feelings apart from pure friendship are present).Jazakallah Khair
