Islamic Stance of Nasheeds and Music
As Salamu Alaikum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuThe Prophet (SAW) in his 23 years of prophethood never ever used Nasheed/Music to give Dawah. He was the Messenger of God guided by revelation and was the most knowledgeable person among humanity. The prophet (SAW) could of asked one of the Sahaba?s to go near the kaba and call people to Islam by using Music/Nasheeds.Did he do this ? NOFurthermore I understand from scholars the Duff was used on Eid Day and Wedding days during the prophet (SAW).How is it then permission is given to use other instruments ?Furthermore we know by listening and reciting to the Quran, Allah (SWT) gives reward.What reward do you get from Allah (SWT) for Nasheeds ? Nothing.
