minimum

As Salaamu Alaykum,     I wanted to know what we can recite in salaah after al-fatihah. Usually, people recite whole surahs, but I have been in situations where the imam recites part of the quran and not the whole surah, I have even seen a person recite ayatul kursi and then go into ruku. Can we recite part of a surah in the first rakah and then recite the remainder of it in the second? And what are the mininum number of verses that we can recite?Jazakallah Khayran.

Dear Scholars:as-salamu ?Alaikum!this is in reference to Surah Al-Baqarah, 2:233 particularly on breastfeeding. If it is indeed true that medical studies have shown that completing the breastfeeding for two whole years will benefit a lot both the mothers and the ch ildren in terms of health as compared to those who do not. Is it not recommendatory for the couples to complete the breastfeeding for two whole years? Jazakum Allah khairan.
