Implanting a graft including pork in the body
Respected Scholar,I belong to a Pharmaceutical Company.We deal in medicines and also medical devices.Currently, ladies who face Hernia problem, or Rectoceal or Cystoceal, udergo very painful surgery which have higher risk of reverting or re-occurance within next few years.In recent years after research a new technology is developed wherein a Graft is developed which is implanted at the desired destination of the body and that plays the role of reconstructive surgery. In that graft porcine (pork) source is used.Now, my question is, we are not eating pork, nor we are inhailing pork, but implanting it within our body.Is it permissible in Islam or Prohibited.I do look forward towards your kind and earliest reply in this regard, kindly also email me, with all possible references of Quran and Sunnah.In addition, how to get Fatwa on this matter.Best regards, Saif
