As-Salamu `alaykum. My question is about the punishment for Zina (adultery) in Islam. According to Islam, there should be fo ur eye-witnesses, and these people should be known for their honesty. My question is that today we can prove whether or not adultery has occurred by using various laboratory tests (i.e., DNA). So, should Muslims use such tests to decide whether someone is guilty or not?

Dear scholars, As-Salamu `alaykum. Is in vitro fertilization (IVF) allowed if the ovum or semen comes from a donor other than the wife or husband? Jazakum Allah khayran.

I am going for fertility treatment where hormones are taken to produce a larger than normal number of eggs. Multiple pregnancies are a possible outcome of this. Is embryo reduction permissible in view of the fact that the babies stand a lesser chance of survival, the mother may be unable to cope, etc. I know for example of the case in the UK a couple of years ago where a woman produced 8 embryos, she refused to have embryo reduction and none of the embryos/babies survived. What is the Islamic ruling on this?

I was just wondering (I'm not a doctor or anything) if euthanasia (mercy killing) is allowed in Islam. I think that if someone is enduring blinding pain and doesn't really have much time to live (2 or 3 months), the doctor should kill that person and end his/her misery. What do you think? Is Euthanasia allowed in Islam?
