Scholars of Islam, as-salamu `alaykum. Some of my Muslim brothers claim that there are some innovative actions that are called bid`ah hasanah, meaning “good innovation.” Please express your views on this matter.

As-salaamu 'AlaykumDear Scholars,Please explain the differences between sunnah, bida'ah and fiqh.Is sunnah restricted to act of worship and aqeedah only? And thus bida'ah also restricted to those two? When people are asked to follow Prophet's (pbuh) sunnah, they ask, should they wear what Prophet wore and how is this possible if they live in cold climate countries.With regards to fiqh, one example is paying zakat using money or having zakat for our savings which was not done during Prophet's (pbuh) time. Is this considered bida'ah even though it has been accepted by fiqh?So what sunnah that we actually should follow, and which bida'ah are not allowed and which bida'ah are allowed? And how does fiqh relate to these two?I really appreciate it if you can recommend good reading materials for the above.Jazakallah Khayran.

Dear Sheikh, As-Salamu `alaykum. I would like to request a clear, definition of bid`ah (innovation) with short examples. I get confusing responses when I talk to different people. When Islam talks about innovation, is it specifically referring to innovation in religion and religious practices? Jazakum Allah khayran.

Dear scholars, As-Salaam `Alaykum. A family member recently bought a new house. After entering the house, the Adhan was called. Is this Islamic or Bid`ah (innovation)? What is the proper procedure, if any, to mark this new place of residence? Jazakum Allah khayran.

Assalamualikum, I like to ask a question wich is confusing me a lot.Are v allowed to make duas with the waseelah of Prophet Muhammed(PBUH).I heard that it is not permissible for muslims to take waselah of anyone including the Prophet.But one friend argues that when v can assk Prophets waselah in the dua after athan y cant v do in our daily duas.Please clarify it.Jazakallahu khair.

Respected scholars, as-salamu `alaykum. I wanted to ask if there is any restriction in Islam that prohibits us from getting married in the month of Safar or the month of Muharram. Also, can you please clarify if it is true that in the month of Safar many problems and evils come down to the earth? If this is true, can you please quote a hadith or Qur'anic verse? Please answer this question as my family and I myself have a lot of misconceptions about it. I am very thankful to you.

Assalam-u-alaikum, I belong to Hanfis, i have seen in my family and majority of hanfis that during the first 10 days of Muharram they dont eat meat Chicken Eggs and similar things , also they dont arrange good ocassions like marraige or engagements or opening new shops or money investment etc, they say it is month of sorrow , so how far these belives are correct in the light of Quran and HAdith?
