Marriage for the Sake of Obtaining Immigration Papers
Is it permissible for muslims to go for court marriage in a non-muslim western country? When they are already enagaged with the consents of their guardians and the purpose of court marriage is for filew ork of immigration petition.So that later when they get married actually by Sheriya Nikah,they dont have to live apart for years waiting for immigration.Also tell me from islamic point of view does this marriage have any legal rights of being spouse of each other. And if they take step of breaking this bond,by the country law they will have to go through legal court procedure of divorce. Would they be regarded of commiting the sin of divorce by sheriyah? Please help me in this regard.Thanks alot and JazakAllah Kher.
