Can We Feel Joy While Oppressed Muslims Are Suffering?
Dear scholars, As-Salamu `alaykum. Dear brothers in Islam, I have come to a point in my life where I find myself in need of getting an adequate answer to problems hampering living condition for most of people in this life. What I mean is that since this life is so short and with so many people facing hardship and suffering, many of them are our Muslim brothers, sisters and children, is there any point in me going on with my day to day life? I feel so guilty; what I mean is that after everything that has happened, those less fortunate are ALWAYS in the back of my mind, I wish I could do more to help but I do as much as I can, when I can do more I will, even when I laugh now I stop short because those less fortunate come to mind, for e.g. is there any point in me continuing with my education, work, going on holidays, buying things for myself and for my familly... etc? Someone once said you should live for this world like you are never going to die and live for the next world like you are going to die tomorrow. Please help me as I feel like I'm in a rut and I need to get out as it's affecting my health...Jazakum Allah khayran.
