as-salamu `alaykum,Im from a Lebanese speaking background however i wasnt taught how to read to write arabic. Would it be permissible for me to recite my 5 daily prayers in english as i feel more connected to my prayers as im understanding word for word what im saying?a response would be greatly appreciated....thank yousalam

Respected scholars, as-salamu `alaykum. In the West and in English-speaking countries, is there a problem in giving all the Friday khutbahs (sermons) in English without any word in Arabic? Jazakum Allahu khayran.

Dear scholars, As-Salamu `alaykum. I recently spent some time with a Muslim family in which the husband was a convert to Islam. I was surprised to find that he hasn’t missed a single Prayer (Salah) in 5 years, ma sha’ Allah. However, he told me that he doesn’t do the prayers in Arabic, instead, completely in English. Is this allowed? Jazakum Allah khayran.
