Eid

Asalaam ualikumOn the night that the moon is sighted for Eid-ul-Fitr, many women get together and have a party for women and little girls, they cook special foods, get dressed –up, wear beautiful clothes, and jewelry.  They get together and put on henna, and sing and dance in celebration.  There are absolutely no men around.  Many other women look very down upon this and say it is haraam.  They say that we should all be doing ibadaat.  Some say that Eid begins once the last fast has broken, others say that you should do even more ibadaat on that night.  Please give some perspective, as I am invited to one  of these functions, I always use to go before, but I want to know your opinion.

Asalaamulaikum Because of the great Earthquake Trajedy in Pakistan, Afghanistan and India a lot of people are saying that this Eid should not be celebrated with too much joy and that we should not spend money on new clothes and instead give that money to the victims. What do you think about this?

Is it well known that Muslims are encouraged to perform the `Eid Prayers in open places such as parks. With such very cold weather in some parts of the world, is it still encouraged for Muslims there to perform `Eid Prayers in open places?

Assalamalaikum Brother,i have a question about some holidays. Is valentine's day a religious day?what about other days..for e.g father's day,mother's day,thanksgiving days.. are these  religious days?what if a husabnd and a wife give gift to each other on valentine's day or frinds give or exchange gifts.only friends, not girl friends or boy friends.what if children give gifts to their parents on mother's and father's day.is this haram?plzz give me the  answers of these question.i need to know please.Thank you
