drawing

As-salamu `alaykum, respected scholars. Is it permissible in Islam to draw pictures of animals and people? I know that drawing pictures of the prophets is haram. Jazaka Allahu khayran.

Assalamu 'alaikum,What is the ruling regarding drawing pictures? I know that Muslims are not allowed to draw any humans or animals with facial features, but how about drawing with no facial features? I have a small question. One of my friends was asking me if it is possible to draw the prophet's companions, such as Khaled ibn el waleed? Is there a ruling to prevent depicting any of the prophet's companions in the form of drawing?

Some companies attach pictures to their goods in order to promote them. If consumers collect these pictures and send them to the company, they may win a prize from the company. Is it lawful for one to do so to win the prize?
