Drawing a Depiction of Al-Buraq: Permissible?
As-Salaamu alaikum wa rehmatullahi wa barakatuhuIs it permissible to draw a depiction of Al-Buraq, the gate between lower heaven and second heaven, Al-Bayt Al-Mamur, Sidrat Al-Muntaha and the golden butterflies that come to sit on it from paradise for a children's (2 to 4 years old) story book on Al-Isr'aa wal-Mir'aaj. I understand that we do not know exactly what these things look like except for what we know from Quran and ahadith. Can we base the illustrations on this information? Also Jibrael (AS) came to meet the prophet (SAAS) in the form of a man. So can we depict a very blurry outline an angel in human form in the book?
