If a person made an oath (swearing by Allah) not to invite everyone to his wedding and he later did otherwise, then his oath has been broken and he needs to make expiation for breaking his oath. The expiation for breaking one’s oath is to feed or clothe ten needy persons. If it is not possible, then he should fast three (3) days either successively or otherwise.
