Sheikh Mohamed El-Moctar El-Shinqiti, Director of the Islamic Center of South Plains, Lubbock, Texas , states: “One may then use the du`a’ of the prophet, as frequently as possible: Allahumma inni a’oothu bika minal hammi wal hazan(i), wal ‘ajzi wal kasal(i), wal jubni wal bukhl(i), wa dala’-eddayni, wa ghalabatir-rijaal. (“O Allah, protect me from anxiety, grief, helplessness, laziness, cowardice, miserliness, from being overburdened by debt and from being humiliated by people.)”
