The prominent Muslim scholar and Da`iyah, Zeinab Mustafa, states: “Seeing Almighty Allah in the dream is possible, provided that the person sees Him in a way that is befitting Allah Almighty “there is no comparable to Him, and He is the All-Hearing, All-Seeing.” (Ash-Shura: 11) This is the opinion adopted by Imam Ibn Taimiyah (may Allah bless his soul).
When the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was asked if he had seen Allah in the journey of Al-Israa’ and Mi`raj, he replied: I saw light, how could I see Allah (in reality). Which means that seeing the exact entity of Allah is impossible but seeing a light is possible.”
