The eminent Muslim scholar and renowned Da`iyah, Sheikh `Abdel Khaliq Hasan Ash-Shareef, states: “As far as Islamic Shari`ah is concerned, there is nothing wrong in having a picture containing verses of the Qur’an hanged on the bedroom where husband and wife have intimate relationship. There is nothing in the sources of Shari`ah prohibiting that and having intimate relationship in a room where a picture containing Qur’anic verses is hanged is not considered a sign or an indication of degradation of the Qur’an.
