Some few scholars held the opinion that the disobedience of the tongue (for instance backbiting and lying), the disobedience of hearing (for instance-listening to vilification), the disobedience of the eyes (for instance, watching forbidden things), and disobedience of the hands and leg are some of what invalidate fasting. However, the majority of scholars opined that none of those things above break fast, but they all agreed that sins take away the rewards of fast. This concern is established in the saying of the prophet, may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him:
‘Whoever does not abstain from perjury and evil action, there is no need for such to abstain from his food and drink’
