It is the role of individuals, ethnic groups, religious leaders, and non-governmental organizations to work for achieving peaceful coexistence and mutual understanding as well as respect among multifaith communities. There should be no aggravation to the concept of clash of civilizations. On the contrary, there should be more focus on cooperation among different civilizations and cultures.

Dr. Muhammad Abu Laylah, professor of the Islamic Studies and Comparative Religions at Al-Azhar University, stated: What we have to do as Muslims is to know that Allah created people different in bodies and minds, in ethnicity and language and mental capacities. And, we should be patient enough in approaching other people especially in the religious sense.
Islam is based on mercy and understanding of the other and always urges the faithful Muslims to be merciful and to be a good example and try to communicate with other people in a gentle way. They should not be pessimistic; the truth prevails and many people of different faiths are keen to find out truth and work hard for it.
The misunderstanding that takes place nowadays among the religious communities and also among the political groups is due to lack of understanding in human capacity and human dignity. We should remember and remind other people what Almighty Allah says in the Qur’an, [O humankind! Lo! We have created you male and female, and We have made you nations and tribes that you may know one another. Lo! The noblest of you, in the sight of Allah, is the best in conduct. Lo! Allah is Knowing, Aware] (Al-Hujurat 49:13).

And Prophet Muahmmad (peace and blessings be upon him) said, “There is no privilege for an Arab over a non-Arab except through God-consciousness.”
If we want to capture peoples’ hearts, we ought to show good faith and good intention and also good respect for them. We can do some social activities in the mosque or in any city or town hall and invite people from other religions to share with us this social event. In this way, we can talk and present ourselves nicely and make others better understand us.
