The eminent Muslim scholar and renowned Da`iyah, Sheikh `Abdel Khaliq Hasan Ash-Shareef, states: “A Muslim man is not allowed to wear a shirt made of natural silk when the percentage of silk exceeds 05%. As for wearing artificial silk, it is not meant by the prohibition, i.e. there is nothing wrong in wearing artificial silk.”
