The weakness of Muslims, individuals and states, and their adoption of false liberal concepts have encouraged many of those who bear malicious grudge against Islam and its noble Prophet, some of them have Muslim identity, to speak out their venomous hatred and disseminate their ignoble ideas, even inside Muslim countries. However, the ironical paradox is to find some high-ranking committees in Muslim states honoring these individuals in utter defiance to the feelings of Muslims all over the world.
On this issue, the Secretariat of Fatwa in the Egyptian House of Ifta’, issued the following statement:
It is religiously well-established that the glorification of the sharia and the religion as well as of the standing of the trustworthy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him and his household) is among the greatest pillars of the Sharia, the foremost cornerstones and the most sublime obligations. Almighty Allah (Exalted be He) says, (Thus it is [an obligation that humankind owes to Allah], and whosoever honors the symbols of Allah, then it is truly from the piety of the heart.) (Al-Hajj 22:32) He also (Glorified and Exalted be He) says,(Verily, We have sent you (O Muhammad) as a witness, as a bearer of glad tidings, and as a warner, in order that you (O humankind) may believe in Allah and His Messenger, and that you assist and honor him, and (that you) glorify (Allah’s) praises morning and afternoon) (Al-Fat-h 48:8-9). Almighty Allah (Exalted be He) also says, (Verily, those who annoy Allah and His Messenger (SAW) Allah has cursed them in this world, and in the Hereafter, and has prepared for them a humiliating torment) (Al-Ahzab 33:57) and (Make not the calling of the Messenger among you as your calling one of another. Allah knows those of you who steal away, hiding themselves. And let those who conspire to evade his orders beware lest grief or painful punishment befall them.) (An-Nur 24:63)
In addition, Muslims have unanimously agreed that those who vilify the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) or impugn the religion of Islam dissent from Islam and thus deserve punishment in this life and torment in the hereafter.
On the other hand, Article (98–f) of the Egyptian Penal Code incriminates whoever slights or disdains any of the Heavenly religions or the sects following it, or disturbs national unity or social peace.
As for what is mentioned in the question, these texts which were quoted by the questioner are blasphemous texts that lead their holder to disbelief in case he or she is a Muslim, and these claims are considered among the crimes stated in the above quoted article of the Egyptian Penal Code. Besides, if it is proved that such ignoble, contemptible and false claims have been issued by a certain person, they are worthy of being incriminated, not honored.
Moreover, all legal and penal measures that are necessary should be taken to ward the evil of such writers off society and the people, making them an example for other foolish people who are tempted by Satan and who have their falsehood made seemingly fair to them.
Here, Almighty Allah (Exalted be He) says, (Say (O Muhammad), “Shall we tell you the greatest losers in respect of (their) deeds? [It is] those whose efforts have been wasted in this life while they thought that they were acquiring good by their deeds!”) (Al-Kahf 18:103–104).
On the other hand, as for the committee that nominated this person for such a reward, if they know about the allegations stated in his books, they are to be held accountable for wasting Muslims’ money if the reward is funded by Muslims.
