Dr.Monzer Kahf, a prominent economist and counselor states: “Islamic economics has grown into a full independent discipline in the sense of teaching disciplines and academic courses. Otherwise, for economics as an integral component of social studies/sciences, Islamic economics is just a branch of economics like other branches that all together make the ‘study of the behaviour of persons, groups and societies toward material things, in their production, distribution and consumption and methodologies to change this behaviour’.”
