It is to be noted that the Qur’an contains the pure words of Allah. Allah promised to preserve the Qur’an in its original state until the Day of Judgment, and He has done so throughout the centuries. The Qur’an has thus been preserved, without any alterations, unlike the Scriptures of other religions. The Qur’an is unsurpassed in its style and expression, it also set the standard for Arabic grammar and style.
Sheikh Ahmad Kutty, a senior lecturer and Islamic scholar at the Islamic Institute of Toronto, Ontario, Canada, states: The Qur’an set the standard for grammar and style, for as recognized by the highest authorities of the Arabic language from the time of its revelation, the Qur’an is unsurpassed in its style and expression. Therefore, it is an axiomatic fact among scholars that the Qur’an set the standard for Arabic grammar and style.
If, therefore, some eccentric minds have “discovered” lately that the Qur’an “breaks the grammar rules,” it is due to sickness in their minds. Their agenda is to cast doubts in the minds of the people about the inimitable book.
