In fact, the ongoing real holocaust on Gaza, which led to the killing of more than 125 Gazans and injured hundreds more, many of them children, is inhuman and cruel in the full sense of the word. It well manifests the Israeli aggression and violation of agreed-upon human rights and international conventions.

It is the Muslims’ duty — along with all just peoples — to support the oppressed and extend a helping hand to the wronged. This should be done through aiding the victims and raising objection against the oppressors.

The prominent Muslim scholar Dr. MuhammadAbu Laylah, professor of the Islamic Studies and Comparative Religions at Al-Azhar University, states: Our duty is to support our brothers and sisters in Gaza with money and medicine, and to aid them through all legal means. Let us at least show our protest and objection against what is going on.

In fact, one wonders how it is forbidden to talk about the holocaust in Europe while a holocaust is committed against the Palestinians who have no army, no food, and no medical supplies.
Muslim scholars should be united together in condemning this massacre or holocaust and revive the sense of shame in people’s mind against what is going on and awaken them and all free people in the world to stand against it, not only by words but also by action.
