Sheikh `AbdelKhaliqHassan Ash-Shareef, an Egypt-based renowned scholar and da`iyah, says: This type of gambling is absolutely forbidden. Gambling is gambling whether it is by money or by plastic coins whether there is a monetary value in them or without.”
