Sheikh Ahmad Kutty, a senior lecturer and Islamic scholar at the Islamic Institute of Toronto, Ontario, Canada , states: “Since the movie entitled the Message was approved by the Azhar group of scholars, I consider you won’t be wrong if one were to remodel themself after that, as long as their theme is purely Islamic and their intention is to impart a positive message: Drawings are allowed as long as we avoid depicting the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) or other messengers. If we were to depict anyone else, please state clearly that it is only for purpose of illustration and not a genuine depiction.
