Sheikh Mohamed El-Moctar El-Shinqiti, Director of the Islamic Center of South Plains, Lubbock, Texas , states: There is an aya (verse) in the Qur’an indicating that family members will be re-united in Paradise. Allah Almighty says: “And those who believe and whose families follow them in Faith, to them shall We join their families: nor shall We deprive them (of the fruit) of aught of their works: (Yet) is each individual in pledge for his deeds.” (At-Tur: 21)
However, it is clear from the aya that only those who used to be righteous that will be joined together in Paradise. And each person will be individually responsible for his or her actions, and no one will answer for his or her deeds on the Day of Judgment, as stated in Allah’s saying: “each individual in pledge for his deeds”.
Could we be with those we love in paradise
