Sheikh `Abdul-Majeed Subh, a prominent Azharite scholar, states: “It is not true that the Prophet’s children had dolls. Rather, he (peace and blessings be upon him) brought stuffed animals or the like for the mother of the believers `A’ishah. On this basis, such toys are permissible for Muslim children.

Also, it is not true that Muslim children often name toys and puppets after the prophets. Had we supposed it happened, this would be a mistake and it is the role of Muslim parents to teach their children that this is not allowed as it is not allowed for any Muslim to insult or humiliate prophets; any prophet.

Based on the above, we reiterate that all Allah’s prophets whom we know and whom we know not are highly respected and honourable and this is one of the obligations of Islam.
