Dr. Marawan Shahin, Professor of Hadith and its Sciences, Faculty of Usul Ad-Din (Theology),Al-Azhar Univ. states: “Generally speaking, we should not exaggerate in adorning mosques. There should be no exaggeration in adornment in mosques in a way that may distract the praying people’s minds from prayer. Adornment of mosques should be calm in a way that help praying Muslims to concentrate on the Prayer. It should be also clear that adorning is something different from cleaning mosques which is necessary.
