Sheikh Ahmad Kutty, a senior lecturer and Islamic scholar at the Islamic Institute of Toronto, Ontario, Canada , states:

“As muslims, we ought not to be carried away by the so called scientific theories which are founded on human speculations and are not based on sure knowledge. If our faith is dependent on such changing theories, then we will never be able to remain steadfast on it. As Allah tells us in the Qur’an, “speculation is no substitute for truth”; “Doesn’t the One who created know better?” “I never made them a witness for the creation of heavens and earth nor for their own creation”. There is no logical basis for the so called “big bang theory” and Muslims shouldn’t waste time on such theories, rather we should have faith in the verses of the Qur’an where in Allah said: “I never made them a witness for the creation of heavens and earth nor for their own creation”.
I urge every Muslim to read the Qur’an; we are also advised to read Muhammad Asad’s Message of the Qur’an. We are advised to read Mawlana Wahidudddin’s books on the science and God; I am not sure of the exact title.
