The eminent Muslim scholar and renowned Da`iyah, Sheikh `Abdel Khaliq Hasan Ash-Shareef, states: “For sure, there is nothing wrong for a woman to revert to Islam and say Shahadah while menstruating. In Islam, women can read the Qur’an without touching the mushaf (copy of the Qur’an) and make dhikr (remembrance of Allah) and du`aa’ (supplication during menses. So, there is nothing in Islam to prevent a woman from pronouncing shahadah while she is menstruating.”
