As muslims we have to bear in mind that such attacks are not novel, for Islam, the true religion of Allah, has faced numberless attacks at the hands of the unbelievers who “desire to put out the light of Allah with their mouths, and Allah will not consent save to perfect His light, though the unbelievers are averse.”

The prominent Muslim scholar, Dr. Muhammad Abu Laylah, Professor of the Islamic Studies and Comparative Religions at Al-Azhar University states: “At the very beginning, I would like to make it clear that such attacks and insults are not new; but they were launched and refuted centuries ago, and it is, therefore, improper for anyone to raise them once more.
Allah, our God, is the One, the Almighty, the Most-High, the All-Hearing, the Creator, the Sustainer, the All-Merciful, the Compassionate, et cetera. There is nothing that is similar to Him, Almighty. Our God is the God of all human beings and creatures.
Had those people read the Qur’an, they would have known that Islam, from the first moment of its shining, has attacked idols and paganism. Then, how did they dare to say anything disrespectful about our God.
Our God is the same God preached by all Prophets and Messengers. We have no doubt about this established fact, and whoever thinks otherwise follows his own baseless and vain desires.”
Another prominent Al-Azhar scholar, Sheikh `Abdul-Majeed Subh, adds these words: “Before delving deep into the attacks of such people, I strongly ask Muslims and good people in the whichever country his took place to file a suit against such people and never accept any compromise or apology so that ignorant people will shut their mouths from insulting the Truth.
As for the insults they utter, it proves that they are not aware even of their own God or religion. All revealed religions came to call to One God, Allah; but Islam remains the only religion that Allah has chosen to represent the true Divine Message.
Such a person doesn’t know the academic rules and ethics of interfaith dialogue; therefore, their attacks carry no weight and are baseless.”
