Is it permissible for one to indulge in the life of this world: competing with one another via wealth and status, enjoying the good things of this life, beautifying oneself and one's home, and working hard to achieve worldly success? This is all done, of course, without neglecting religious duties.

Respected scholars, as-salamu `alaykum. Is it the duty of all Muslims to convert the world? Jazakum Allahu khayran.

I was wondering if you could possibly help me resolve some conflicting issues. If God is All-Powerful, He must be able to prevent evil. If God is All-Good, He must want to prevent evil. But evil and suffering exist. How is it possible for God to be both All-Powerful and All-Good and still allow a world in which evil and su ffering exist? I would greatly appreciate a response.

Respected scholars of Islam, As-Salamu `alaykum.There is a book that is read by many youth nowadays tells about the Battle of Armageddon. The book includes many related pieces of evidence, among which is a Hadith that Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) hid. The book mentions that he said that he had two areas of knowledge; one of them he imparted, while he hid the other. He commented on that saying that if he had imparted the other area of knowledge, he would have been slaughtered (and he pointed to his neck when saying so).The book I am talking about gives the forewarning that life on earth is coming to an end and that Al-Mahdy will soon appear.What is your comment on that book?May Allah give you manifold reward!
