Respected scholars, as- salamu`alaykum. Recently some writings and opinions appeared claiming that the use of weapons of mass destruction against non-Muslim countries is permissible and that this opinion is in conformity with the Shari`ah. They base their opinion on some juristic rulings on the permissibility of sacrificing the lives of the Muslims who are taken by the enemy as human shields, attacking the enemies suddenly at night, and using fire when attacking them. Are these opinions correct and consistent with Islamic principles and Shari`ah? Jazakum AllahuKhayran.
