Waiting Period

As-Salamu `Alaykum. Is the term `Iddah applicable to the widow and the divorcee? What is the need of `Iddah and for how long should this "waiting period" be? Please help. Thank you!

Zinas salaamu alaikom i know a person who was getting divorced and had two weeks left unti l it was over but eneded up meeting another man and committed zina with him, after she was divorced she found out she was pregnant for the man she committed zina with, can she marry this man and what should she do to rectify this?

Asalaamalaikum, I would like to know about my mum-in-law. Can my mum-in-law go out to consult a doctor, or in front of male servants during her period of Iddat? My husband is out of station. I stay with my mum-in-law with my 3 little kids.I would also like to know if she can watch any tv progrms. Where can we find all this information in the Quran or the Hadith?

Respected scholars, as-salamu `alaykum. Is it permissible for a married woman to think about a marriage proposal from another man after she gets a divorce, as she has been going through the divorce process? Jazakum Allahu Khayran.
