Breaking a Vow
Dear Scholar, Assalamalykum warahmatollahi wabarakatohu, Since some time ago i was involved in a particular sin and to refrain from dwelling in that sinful condition, i had made a vow in the name to Allah to not repeat it, and alhamdolillah for a long time i had remained steadfast on my vow, but recently i had broken it. I sought Allah's forgiveness, I've resolved my mistake and i'm steadfast again, but as it was a vow then i'd like to know do i have to do some special act of worship as a recompense (kaffarah)? A mufti told me that the kaffarah for breaking a vow taken in thename of Allah requires that i feed ten people, so if this is the ruling which you too suggest, then i'd like to know if there are any subtitutes to this deed, as i can't carry out this particular deed.thank you. Jazakallaho khair
