Are women who just gave birth in the category of the sick?
Assalamu AlaikumThere is a great reward for visiting the sick. Some people of knowledge are saying that a woman who has just given birth does not fall under the category of a sick person, thus all rewards for the visitor does not apply. Under many ahadith it mentions people suffering from wounds, injury etc. These all reflect the status of a woman after childbirth. Some women are unable to move, get infections, major surgery/minor surgery, lose a lot of blood and even die as a result of childbearing. How can it not be the same? JazakAllah khairan
