Volume 1, Book 8, Number 368:narrated 'Aisha:allah's Apostle used to offer the Fajr prayer and some believing women covered with their veiling sheets used to attend the Fajr prayer with him and then they would return to their homes unrecognized .does this hadith indicate that there is face veil in islam... as a face veil must have been used to be unrecognized

What does the Quran say about women's veiling? And, from your interpretation, is it obligatory? I have read many verses on the Hijab in the holy Quran, however, it does not specify what type of veil/covering. "... [women] should not display their Beauty and ornaments except what (must ordinarily) appear thereof; that they should draw their veils over their bosoms and not display their beauty... (31 Annour). I would like to know your understanding of the verses in the Quran which refer to the Hijab. Many thanks for your help. Assalamou alaykoum.
