The Ruling of Day Trading in Stock Market
salam I am really confused regarding day trading in stock market and would like to know if its halal 1. If someone buys stocks of companies whose main buiseness is islamic and then sells them same day or other day, would the profit (if) gained be halal. in pakistan stock exchange the stock gets registered to your name on day 3 of trade. some say stock should be sold on day 3, but i wonder that in reality the real deal is made the moment you purchase, since you loose your money and the stock appears yours on the screen. due to the slow registering procedure one may suffer for no use, lets say you buy a stock and the market falls, you will have to wait till day 3 before you can sell your stock, giving you losses, which might also not be right in islam. therefore registeration is only paperwork, i personally sometimes think that since nowadays, everything is so fast we should not follow the slow pattern to limit ourselves to such procedures. also if a person does day trading by analysis and calculation then it might be right. please clarify me since i am waiting impatiently for your answer so that one can set his trading policy accordingly.thank you
