Children Toys and Games
Dear scholar,Although I am aware that the Prophet (saws) did not allow the making of figures/drawings to be used as hung arts/curtains/etc., he did allow toys for Aisha such as her toy horse with two wings for her entertainment/education perhaps. Scholars tend to bring up these when pointing out the permissibility of playing with toys, videogames, etc. However, nowadays we have the technology to make toys/videogames far more realistic. I cannot find the permissibility of children playing with more realistic toys/videogames, and I fear shirk/kufr. What is the verdict on modern-day realism in toys/videogames/movie graphics in the light of Islam?Eagerly awaiting your reply!- concerned muslim
